We traveled on to Rio. We were in for a bit of a surprise at the airport. The are pretty tight restrictions on luggage weight for domestic travel in Brazil. Many people (including me) had too much weight in our luggage. Many people reorganized. Our trip organizer in Brazil took some of my luggage on her ticket which saved me money, but many people had to pay a lot of money to get their luggage to Rio.
